SLOT CAR MAGAZINE is a bi-monthly magazine for racers, collectors and builders which has its roots in the popular SlotCarMAG.

Scalextric Car Restorations reveal all in this months edition on the manufacturing process behind our MAX Grip tyres.  The article focuses in detail how we hand mould the MAX Grip tyre range to give you an insight into the work we do.

Never before and probably never again will we open our doors and give away so much detail about our manufacturing processes.  Scalextric Car Restorations has the largest range of re-manufactured tyres for Scalextric cars than anyone else.  There are 139 different tyres (tires) available to fit 1693 different Scalextric models - 1960 to 2016.  There is also a large range of MAX Grip tyres for the Airfix, MRRC and AutoArt slot cars.

New tyres for the AUTOart Subaru Impreza WRC

These MAX Grip tyres are used AUTOart Subaru Impreza WRC, scale 1:32.

These new tyres are direct replacements for the original tyres fitted to the AUTOart 1:32 slot cars listed below and see above image. They are available in MAX Grip versions.

The new hand made MAX Grip tyres are unique to Scalextric Car Restorations and give the absolute maximum in performance at all times. Cornering and acceleration will all be at their maximum with these tyres. They give the very best performance possible on all track surfaces at all times. Simply put we have not yet discovered a better tyre for grip and race performance.

The MAX Grip tyres are hand moulded from 29 Shore A hardness rubber which is a very high grip material.

The tyres are groove treaded and have a smooth tyre sidewall.
